Thinking School
“Creative thinking is not a talent, it is a skill that can be learnt. It empowers people by adding strength to their natural abilities which improves teamwork, productivity and where appropriate, profits."- Edward de Bono
Why is it necessary to develop thinking skills in child?
Thinking Skills are mental processes we use to do things like: solve problems, make decisions, ask questions, construct plans, evaluate ideas, organize information and create objects.
The skills that we need in order to be able to think critically are varied and include observation, analysis, interpretation, reflection, evaluation, inference, explanation, problem solving, and decision making.
Research indicates that critical thinking is neither inborn nor naturally acquired. Fortunately, critical thinking can be taught and learned.
